Brittanee Drexel Remains Missing, To Be Honored
Gates Chili High School will honor teen at Graduation

Wilmington, NC – Brittanee Drexel remains missing and should be graduating this Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from her Gates Chili High School; however her family will attend in her vacancy to accept the school’s honor. “They called last week to inform me that the school would honor my daughter with an honorary diploma” said, Brittanee’s mother, Dawn Drexel. This entire ordeal is so real; I miss my daughter and ache for her to come home, “she added”. The ceremony will be held at 7:00 pm at the RIT Gordon Field House, 1 Lomb Memorial Drive Rochester, NY 14623.

Brittanee Drexel vanished on April 25, 2009 from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina almost immediately after exiting the Blue Water Inn to return to her hotel; she has not been seen since. Brittanee went to South Carolina with a group of teens from Rochester, New York against her parent’s wishes for a spring break trip planned by the group. In April of 2010 South Carolina law officials announced to the public that they had three persons of interest in her disappearance but would not elaborate any further; the teen has still not been located nor have any arrest been made in the case.

Over the past year the CUE Center for Missing Persons lead several large scale search efforts in collaboration with law officials and hundreds of volunteers from around the country to no avail, finding no sign of the missing girl. “We remain hopeful that Brittanee will be found and will continue all efforts necessary to help locate her and provide aid to her family for a resolution” said, CUE’s founder, Monica Caison. The group pleas to the community for information concerning Brittanee Drexel and encourage them to contact law enforcement or visit her web site and submit a confidential tip at http://www.helpfindbrittaneedrexel.com/

Find My Way Home Project

June 3, 2010 by

This page is for persons who either know they were abducted, or believe they were abducted, as small children, and raised by their abductors.

It is very difficult for these people to come forward publicly for fear of retaliation from their abductor. Sometimes they don’t know where to start – they can’t remember their real name, where they were born, or anything that would help them find their family.

Find My Way Home project is to provide support, raise awareness, and provide resources to help reunite long-term abductees with their birth families. The project is inspired by someone who was abducted as a child and is still searching for her birth family.

If you have any information about these cases and believe one of these individuals COULD be your child or family member, use the contact form at the bottom of this page and refer to the case number when contacting CUE. Example: Find My Way Home-Case #1 ( Type in the “Subject” box )

Case #1

Case registered with National Center Missing Exploited Children -#1102349- DNA on file with NCMEC.

My mother loved to sing to me. If I close my eyes really tight and think hard I remember. I remember being in one room and her in another separated by a child guard she would sing so heavenly it would ease my discomfort of her not holding me.

That was one of only a couple of memories I have from my early years. See my mother she would never hold me again. I would never hear her sing again. We didn’t share our lives together.

Sometime in the early to mid 1960’s I was ripped away from my security. The peace, joy and comfort I had with my mother were replaced with years of deceit, confusion, fear and terror. Sure I was given three squares a day like any inmate would receive. There was a roof over my head and clothes on my back, but it was never home. Not my home. I was abducted.

I long for the day I can go home. It’s been over forty-five years but my desire is as strong now, as it was when I was torn from my mothers love.

The name Lisa is of a pretend friend of mine from childhood. Why Lisa? Could Lisa be my name? The difference in my story is that I’m living, breathing and desperately seeking to find my way home. Can you help me?

I could have been from anywhere in the United States, East Coast, West Coast, or Canada. Anywhere is possible.

Here is what I look like today, my stats:

•Age: (approx) 49
•Hair: Brown
•Eyes: Blue
•Height: 5’9
•Birthmarks/ scars: scar on inside lower right leg
•Health conditions: Asthma, Allergies, Tooth with no adult tooth underneath, high blood pressure, diabetes

Monica Bowie

May 4, 2010 by

Missing Since: 07/05/07
Missing from Atlanta, Georgia
Classification: Missing
Age at disappearance : 34 years old
Height: 5’4
Weight: 135
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Distinguishing Characteristics: Bowie wears braces on her teeth.
Clothing Description: A dark green dress shirt and blue jeans.

Details of Disappearance
Bowie was last seen at Lenox Apartments where she lived in the 2100 block of Gables Drive northeast in Atlanta, Georgia. She was abducted from the parking lot. Witnesses heard a woman scream for help at 11:00 p.m. and then saw a maroon 2002 Mercury Sable driving off. Inside the vehicle were two men in their late twenties or early thirties. One of the men was heavyset and had a beard. Evidence of a struggle was found in the parking lot, including a woman’s jacket, eyeglasses and two broken fingernails. The car seen leaving the scene was located the next day, abandoned and burned. It was badly damaged. On July 7, Authorities arrested Jasper Keels and charged him with the theft of the car. He had borrowed it from an acquaintance on July 4 and never returned it. A photograph of Keels is posted below this case summary.

On June 20, two weeks prior to her disappearance, Bowie and her fiance, Shernotta Walters, were arrested on felony charges after marijuana and a gun were found in her vehicle. Walters was driving; he had borrowed the vehicle from Bowie. Bowie maintained she had no idea how the drugs and gun got in her car. The charges against both of them were eventually dropped, but Walters was jailed because he was on parole and possession of a gun constituted a violation. He was still incarcerated on the day she disappeared. Authorities questioned him about Bowie’s abduction, but he is not being called a suspect and her family does not believe he was involved. It is unclear whether the criminal case is connected to Bowie’s abduction. She has no prior criminal history. She and Walters planned to get married on March 30, 2007.

Bowie had worked as an exotic dancer for a time after she moved to Atlanta from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1999, but had ceased dancing by the time she was abducted. At the time of her disappearance, she owned two businesses: Go2girls Promotions Inc., a hip-hop production company, and LaCoca Wear Clothing, a clothing boutique. She met with her lawyer just hours before her disappearance; he says she was behaving normally and appeared to be in good spirits.

Keels was originally only charged with the theft of the abduction car and with drug possession, but in September 2007 he was also charged with Bowie’s kidnapping. Investigators do not know whether he knew her, but they theorize the abduction was not a random act and was connected to illegal drug activity. They stated they expected to arrest other individuals in connection with the abduction. Bowie’s body has not been located and no one has been charged with causing her death.

Bowie grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Perry Traditional Academy and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Her disappearance remains unsolved and foul play is suspected.

Brandi Wells

Missing Since: 08/03/06
Missing from: Longview, Texas
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date of Birth: 11/28/82
Age at disappearance: 23
Height:4’11
Weight: 120 – 130 pounds
White Female
Hair:Blonde
Eyes:Blue
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A floral print brown and cream-colored tube top with a V cut over the hip, rust-colored gaucho pants, black strapless high-heeled sandals with a floral applique.
Distinguishing Characteristics:Wells’s nicknames are Blinky and Boo. She blinks frequently. Her hair was slightly below her shoulders at the time of her disappearance, without bangs. Her ears are pierced one time each, and she has French tips on her fingernails. Wells broke her left thumb at age ten and had a pin implanted, but the pin was removed after the injury healed.

Details of Disappearance
Wells was last seen in Longview, Texas on August 3, 2006. She planned to go to a pawnshop to get some money, but ended up going to Graham Central Station, a nightclub, instead. Wells is known to have arrived at the club at 10:30 p.m. She was unfamiliar with the area where the club was located, and had to call them several times to ask for directions. By the time she got there, her car was almost out of gasoline and she asked other customers for assistance, but it is unclear whether anyone offered to help her. She left alone shortly after midnight. She was not intoxicated at the time. She has never been heard from again.

Wells’s black four-door 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, which has the Texas license plate number J50ZTD and damage to the passenger side just above the front wheel, disappeared with her. It was found five days later parked westbound on Interstate 20 at Texas Highway 31, just outside of Longview and 300 yards west of FM 2087. Inside were some of her personal belongings, including her wallet, purse and her ex-boyfriend’s nonfunctional cellular phone. There was no sign of Wells at the scene and no indications of a struggle, but the driver’s seat was reportedly pushed back, as if someone taller than Wells had driven it last. After Wells disappeared, there was some activity on her own cellular phone, which had disappeared with her. Three people found the phone and used it. All three individuals took a polygraph test; one of them, a man, failed it. The man has not been publicly identified, and though he has been interviewed multiple times by police, he has not been called a suspect in Wells’s case.

At the time of her disappearance, Wells resided with a roommate in Brownsboro, Texas. She is a graduate of Chapel Hill High School and, in August 2006, was looking forward to starting a new job at Wal-Mart and starting classes at Trinity Valley Community College. She dreamed of a career as a kindergarten or first-grade schoolteacher. Wells may have been taken against her will and foul play is possible in her disappearance. Her case remains unsolved.

Mysterious man claims missing East Texas woman is alive

March 10, 2010
TYLER (KYTX) – The mother of a missing East Texas woman claims she may have received a break in her daughter’s disappearance.

Brandi Wells disappeared from a Longview nightclub three and a half years ago. Her mother, Ellen Tant, says a man named “Tim” called her this weekend claiming Brandi was alive and living in Kansas City, Missouri.

The call was disconnected before Ellen could get any more information. Now she’s pleading for the man to call her back.

“You know you kind of wonder if this could be a good lead, but then it’s the only hope I’ve had in 3 and a half years that she’s alive and well. So it’s all I’ve got so I’m going to run with it,” explained Tant.

Brandi Wells was last seen at Graham Central Station in Longview.

Missing from: Fort Bridger, Wyoming
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date of Birth: 08/29/65
Age at disappearance: 19 years old
Height:6’4
Weight: 160 pounds

Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Blond to brown hair, blue eyes. Lovely has large scars across his abdomen below his ribcage, the result of extensive kidney surgery in childhood.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A white pullover sweatshirt or polo shirt, a red nylon windbreaker, a green Army fatigue jacket, brown cotton pants and sneakers.

Details of Disappearance
Lovely was moving with his family from Massachusetts to California in August 1985, when he became separated from them. His family was riding in a large U-Haul truck, and Lovely rode his burgundy or maroon 1978 Model 1100 Yamaha motorcycle with California license plates 8N3477. The motorcycle was outfitted with saddlebags and a luggage rack. Lovely’s family stopped every thirty miles to check on him.

In Evanston, Illinois, Lovely’s family wanted to stop and he wanted to keep going. They let him go. Later, Lovely called his aunt and claimed his motorcycle had broken down in Fort Bridger, Wyoming but that a “rough-looking” man with his own motorcycle had fixed it at Bingo Truck Stop. Lovely claimed to be afraid of the man. He never contacted his loved ones again. Lovely was carrying about $150 in cash at the time of his disappearance.

Nine days later, campers found Lovely’s motorcycle in an isolated area off South Baxter Road in a small draw of dirt road just east of the Sweetwater County Airport in Rock Springs, Wyoming. The keys were in it and it had half a tank of gasoline and was in running condition. An extensive search of the surrounding area turned up no sign of Lovely. His aunt stated he was close to his family and she didn’t believe he vanished of his own accord. His case remains unsolved.

Some agencies say Lovely disappeared from Huntington Beach, California. Both Wyoming and California police departments are investigating his case.

Oak Island police search for missing man

January 28, 2009
