It’s been nearly a year since New York teen Brittanee Drexel disappeared on a spring break trip in Myrtle Beach. With the case back in the national spotlight, it’s been a tough week for the 17-year-old’s family.
The mother of missing New York teenager Brittanee Drexel made an appearance on the “Today Show” Friday morning, nearly a year after the 17-year-old vanished from a Myrtle Beach hotel.
The CUE Center for Missing Persons in Wilmington wrapped up another search this weekend for a missing 18-year-old New York girl who was last seen in Myrtle Beach in April.
Brittanee Drexel, a teenager from New York, has been missing from the Myrtle Beach area since last spring break, but a pair of sunglasses discovered last week near Georgtown, S.C., could provide a clue in her disappearance.
The search for a missing 18-year-old New York teen resumed in the Myrtle Beach area this week. The CUE Center for Missing Persons led a search Monday with the help of Myrtle Beach police and the FBI, though nothing was found.
Nearly five months after she first went missing, some of 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel’s family from New York have found themselves once again in South Carolina, hoping to find her.
The search continues for a missing New York teen who disappeared while on Spring Break in Myrtle Beach. Brittanee Drexel’s mother says she had no idea her daughter had gone to S.C.

myrtle beach pd need’s to focus on this young man.i know in my heart that he know’s more than he’s telling the police.
In answer to thomas white.The young man has been questioned,and retained a attorny.There is no physical evidence linking him to any wrong doing.he has been cleared by law officials.unless any new evidence is found to link him to the case he will be in the clear.
Just to let you know my search team is gearing up for Drexell search. I’m looking at nearly 40 people. This will consist of ground support for our group and about 15 on them are riders and land trackers. Thanks for your support of our group.

I really hope they find her, I remember when the news first came out that she was missing. It was so sad to hear that about such a beautiful young girl. I truly understand now what her family is going through. My sister went missing August 23, 2009. God please keep these young girls safe.

My cousin jonathan brackett has been missing since August 09, nobody truely understands what its like to have a “missing” family member or friend until u actually go through the uncertainty, holidays that be never be the same and the thinking of “what if?”. I wish I didn’t know how u feel, but I do and all we can do is keep hope that 1 day u will come home work and he\she will be safe and sitting on the porch waiting for us God bless u and ur family
