February 15, 2010-Mother seeks information on missing woman

Valentine’s Day is Beverly Meadows’ favorite day of the year, even more so than Christmas, according to her mother.

For Liz Lingenfelter, Sunday was a difficult day as she has received no new information about her daughter, who disappeared Dec. 26, 2008, from a local nursing home.

“It’s been overwhelming,” said Ms. Lingenfelter. “I’ve had no news in a long time. It hurts.”

Ms. Meadows was featured on the CUE Center for Missing Person’s Road to Remember Tour last year. The center was founded in 1994 by Monica Ciason and focuses on finding the missing, advocating for their causes and supporting their families. It is funded through donations and staffed by volunteers.

Ms. Meadows was 48 when she walked away from Community Care Nursing Home, 207 W. Merritt St. in Marshall. She would have celebrated her birthday five days later on Dec. 31. She has not been seen since.

She was described as a white female, 5-feet 3-inches tall, with graying black hair and weighing about 240 pounds.

She is believed to have left the facility wearing a blue T-shirt with a Harley-Davidson emblem on the front, blue jeans and flip flops.

Ms. Meadows was said to have suffered from asthma, diabetes and emotional problems and was required to take medication daily. She took no personal belongings or prescription drugs with her when she left the nursing home.

If you have any information pertaining to the whereabouts of Ms. Meadows, contact Lt. Patrick Clayton at 903-935-4546 or the Marshall Police Department at 903-935-4576. All after-hours calls may be directed to the MPD dispatch station at 903-935-4575.

“If anybody hears something, I certainly would like them to call me,” Ms. Lingenfelter said. She can be reached at 318-687-3653.
